Summary: Twelve 125 kW PCS units in parallel, plus MPPT and 600 kW grid-forming switches, deliver uninterrupted power for injection molding loads in Cambodia.
Located in Cambodia, this project serves an industrial park with injection molding lines. A wall-mounted DC-coupled grid-tied/off-grid system uses 12×125 kW PCS units to output 1.5 MW AC, together with 6×120 kW MPPT units and 3×600 kW grid-forming switches, enabling seamless energy dispatch among PV, battery, grid and diesel generator.
Project Background
The local grid in Cambodia is unstable, and injection molding machines are highly sensitive to power interruptions. Outages cause line stoppages, mold damage and product scrap. The customer needed a PV+storage+backup microgrid that operates grid-tied under normal conditions and switches to off-grid mode in milliseconds when the grid fails.
System Configuration
- 12 × 125 kW PCS units (1.5 MW AC parallel output)
- 6 × 120 kW MPPT units (PV connected close to the DC bus)
- 3 × 600 kW grid-forming/off-grid transfer switches
- One cluster one management DC-coupled architecture
Project Solution

整套系统采用中腾数能构网型 PCS 与 MPPT 直流耦合技术,具备毫秒级并离网切换、一簇一管理、SOC 主动均衡与高防护等级等能力,可根据现场条件灵活扩展功率与容量。

Operation Results
- Automatic off-grid switchover in <20 ms with zero interruption of critical loads
- Twelve PCS units output 1.5 MW with current harmonics <3% at full load
- Direct PV connection eliminates one combiner stage, raising overall efficiency by ~2%
- One-cluster-one-management plus active SOC balancing keeps multiple battery racks balanced
